First press comments:
'The Bulgarian guest conductor IVAN ANGUÉLOV succeeded in brightening up the rahter opaque and Wagner-like instrumentation, so that the singers could be heard at any time, even in the orchestra's forte passages. In closing one's eyes, one could really feel the magical touch of the score - pure romance.'
Sune Manninen - Der Neue Merker
'With a real Dvorak expert in the pit (Ivan Anguélov has among many other things recorded all nine symphonies by Dvorak) there was Slavonic glow in the playing and the chorus lived up to the standard we have become used to.'
Göran Forsling - musicweb-international
Already in 2005 Ivan Amguélov's interpretation of all 9 symphonies of Antonin Dvorak
was published by the Oehmsclassics label.
