In May of 2007, in his home town of Sofia, Ivan Anguélov was awarded
the prestigious 'Golden Feather' Prize for his outstanding contribution to Bulgarian culture.

This prize has been awarded annually for the past 12 years to renowned music personalities.
Its former recipients include, among others, Genadii Rojdestvenski, Ghena Dimitrova, Nikola Ghiuselev,
Raina Kabaiwanska and Anna Tomowa-Sintow.
