| ‚Okay, let´s
go on with it. After the previous Rigoletto, I
was curious whether the next performance in the
Oper Leipzig would be of a similar quality. The
average level of the singing was very good. The
orchestra played beautifully and the conducting
was excellent too (same conductor as the Rigoletto).’...‚Regarding
the conductor Ivan Anguelov and the orchestra
I can say the same things as I did last time.
The Gewandhausorchester turns out to be a nicest
orchestra after all and I´m glad to have
the luxury of them being the house orchestra of
the Oper. The tone is refined, the ensemble playing
sophisticated and phrasing and articulation well
taken care of (also thanks to the conductor).
